During 2009 I started to work with the Non Profit Organization Banco de Alimentos at São Paulo, Brazil, by helping them to restructure their processes, recycling their old ser vers into Linux powered superservers and taking care of revamping their information flow, hardware systems, software, licensing, telephony and policy development. Part of this work was deploying mass mailing systems, CRM, virtualization and backup/restore structure and policies. |

In the beginning of 2007 I was hired by Google Inc. to become the person in charge of the IT deployment and operation in Argentina, being also responsible for the IT health of the Google Office, the Google DataCenters collocations in Buenos Aires and several projects in South America (Brazil, Mexico and Argentina) Some of the projects I had ownership and or been involved are the full deployment of the infrastructure servers for the first Google office at Buenos Aires, the deployment of two datacenter collocations in Argentina for serving YouTube caches and other Google services (like search, for example), to design and deploy the first Google Phone Support infrastucture for 7 latin american countries, deploying a new floor (+100 desks with its infrastructure) at the São Paulo (Brazil) Google Office and leading and deploying the infrastructure for a huge sales conference that took place in Mexico City, deploying not only the conference side but also the road warrior stations for the guys that needed to work while at that conference. Besides that, I assured the quality of internal services for the Google Office as Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OS), Network deployment and maintenance, Servers, Telephony, Wireless, VPN, Procurement, Infrastructure, Backup and Storage, Videoconferencing, Audio/Video, Stock Control, Printing Administration, Mobile Operations (Blackberry, etc), Technical Interviewing and non-contemplated issues. |

Arinso (now called Northgate Arinso) is a Belgium based payroll and HR company with offices all around the world. During 2006 I became the IT Manager for the Argentina office reporting directly to Atlanta, USA. Most of my responsibilities were Operating Systems, Network deployment and maintenance, Servers, Telephony/VoIP, Wireless, VPN, Procurement, Infrastructure, Backup and Storage, Audio/Video, Stock Control, Printers automation, SAS70 Quality Standards Certification deployment, Workstations and terminals maintenance. As a result the IT infrastructure grew in 300% and I optimized it to allow the company to serve 500% the amount of customers; deployed the first off-shore call center for the company to serve US Based companies; the response time for SAP incidents went down to 15% of the total by deploying new IT policies and optimizing server use; reused old computers to make Linux based servers for Storage, Backup and Routing. |

When MCI, a huge telecommunications carrier went to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to open their Service Delivery Center they started provisioning several circuits for the wholesale market in the United States. There, between 2004 and 2005 I worked as a circuit designer and provisioner, being part of what I done the provisioning, design and troubleshooting of network circuits for telecommunication including but not limited to telephony, frame relays, 3P and fiber-optics. Coordination with local exchange carriers for meet-point circuits and troubleshooting support. Internal audit between different systems for proprietary networking coordination. Also acted as team leader for the IXC Escalation Team Part of the achievements there were to document several tasks and procedures to enhance the training experience for new members of the IXC Escalation group, reducing training time in 40%, also designed and deployed a Database System for tracking the daily work and pending tasks for a team of 14 people. In time became a key-factor for group interoperability by coordinating technical conjunct work with other groups to enhance productivity. |
